Valencian AI startup Maisa raises $25 million seed round led by Creandum and Forgepoint, launches Maisa Studio platform

Valencia-based AI startup Maisa secured $25 million in a seed funding round led by Creandum and Forgepoint Capital, marking the largest AI investment in Spain to date. The funding follows a $5 million pre-seed round in late 2024 and will be used to expand R&D, engineering, sales, and customer support teams, while driving growth across Europe and North America. Maisa specializes in building AI agents resistant to hallucinations, based on their proprietary Knowledge Processing Unit (KPU) that executes complex tasks with logical step-by-step reasoning. Their newly launched Maisa Studio platform enables non-technical professionals to create and deploy reliable, auditable digital workers using natural language — no coding needed. These digital agents are already being tested in regulated industries like finance, automotive, and energy to automate complex, compliance-sensitive workflows such as risk evaluation and transaction reconciliation. This approach enhances trust and transparency, crucial in sectors requiring traceability and strict audit trails. Founded in 2024 by AI experts David Villalón (CEO) and Manuel Romero (CSO), Maisa aims to revolutionize business automation with their unique HALP training method and Chain-of-Work system that ensures every AI decision is explainable and recorded.
