AEQT Public Advisory Panel visited Repsol maritime terminal in Tarragona amid leadership change

On May 26, the AEQT (Associació d'Empreses Químiques de Tarragona) Public Advisory Panel held its second meeting of 2025 with a visit to Repsol's maritime terminal in Tarragona. Participants got an inside look at port operations and industrial activities related to the local chemical sector. Raul Corbella, responsible for Repsol's marine facilities, explained the terminal's functioning and duties, followed by a tour of the dock where visitors saw firsthand the ongoing activity. The visit occurred just three days after Javier Sancho, director of Repsol's Tarragona industrial complex, was named AEQT's new president during the association's general assembly in Vila-seca. Sancho replaces Ignasi Cañagueral (DOW), who led AEQT for the past three years. The Public Advisory Panel includes about twenty members from various social and economic backgrounds. Its role is to foster transparency and dialogue between the chemical industry and local communities, promoting mutual understanding in Tarragona's industrial area.
