On April 24, the Vila-seca municipal council approved a package of important changes in local regulations affecting taxes, parking services, and the allocation of social housing.
The session updated municipal tax ordinances to better reflect current costs and improve public service management. The council also gave initial approval to a new public parking service regulation to better organize the use of surface and underground parking, especially in high-demand areas.
A new regulation for social housing allocation was also approved, aimed at helping those facing social exclusion or housing emergencies with temporary housing solutions.
Additionally, an update to the civility ordinance was initiated to address new community coexistence challenges.
The council also supported installing Stolpersteine (memorial cobblestones) to remember Vila-seca residents deported to Nazi concentration camps.
These steps aim to modernize Vila-seca’s urban services and strengthen social support and historical memory.
