Association of Tourist Apartments Costa Daurada and DO Tarragona unite to promote wine tourism in Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre
The Association of Tourist Apartments Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre (AAT) has signed a collaboration agreement with Denomination of Origin (DO) Tarragona to boost wine tourism in the region. This partnership aims to showcase local tourism resources, promote the wine culture, and stimulate the local economy through joint marketing efforts.
Under the agreement, AAT will promote the Ruta del Vi (Wine Route) of DO Tarragona in its affiliated tourist apartments and distribute promotional materials, including brochures and winery information, to visitors across Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre. The association will also feature the Wine Route’s brand and details on its website and social media, and integrate enotourism promotion into its sector events.
DO Tarragona will include AAT in its communication channels and materials, provide training about the project, and foster cooperation between wineries and tourist accommodations.
Olena Tokarenko, AAT president, emphasized the importance of this alliance for enhancing authentic local experiences centered on wine, gastronomy, and culture—all key attractions for visitors seeking deeper connections with the area. She also highlighted that this collaboration supports sustainable, year-round tourism and helps balance seasonal fluctuations, contributing to economic growth.
Together, AAT and DO Tarragona aim to position the territory as a full-fledged tourist destination combining wine, culture, landscape, and hospitality for a unique visitor experience.
